A Bit About Me
I am interested in how galaxies form stars and evolve, from the smallest dwarf galaxies in the nearby Universe to massive galaxies harbouring supermassive black holes. I study their gas and stellar populations using observations across wavelengths, from ground- and space-based telescopes.
I am also interested in data-driven science and discovery, and have been using statistical tools and machine learning algorithms to identify new phenomena in large astronomical datasets.
I am a senior lecturer (equivalent to an assistant professor) at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prior to that, I was a research scientist at Stanford University, and prior to that, a Carnegie-Princeton fellow at Carnegie Observatories.
